The mission of the Latino Men's Group Project is to empower Latino men to take a leadership role in living a healthy life through education and community involvement. The Latino Men's Group Project activities include outreach, comprehensive risk counseling, support groups, and community involvement activities.
The support group meet every other Monday night at 7:30PM, except holidays. The Latino Men's Group is a safe place where Latino men come together to discuss social, cultural, and personal issues such as coming out, machismo, family, discrimination, stigma, and many others.
Comprehensive Risk Counseling Service
Is intensive risk reduction counseling for high risk gay/bisexual Latino men. The counseling sessions are provided over five sessions. Client is screened, assessed and introduced into the program. Client is then linked into services through referral depending on his necessities. Counselors work closely with client to ensure that he is maintaining his risk reduction behaviors and is followed up at 30, 60, and 90 day intervals.
